IT & Systems Administrator

Position Summary

The IT & Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the company’s internal IT infrastructure, supporting daily technology operations, and directly maintaining and troubleshooting company websites and internal systems.

This role focuses on stability, security, documentation, and scalability. It is not a marketing or social media position.

Key Responsibilities

 IT Infrastructure & Support

• Maintain and support company servers (on-premises and/or cloud-based)

• Manage network infrastructure, internet connectivity, and basic firewall/security systems

• Provide internal IT support for computers, printers, mobile devices, and software

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control

• Handle employee onboarding and offboarding technology needs

• Monitor system health and performance

 

Systems Administration

• Administer Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace environments

• Maintain email systems, shared drives, and permissions

• Manage backups, data protection, and disaster recovery procedures

• Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed

• Maintain documentation of systems, credentials, and processes

 

Website Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Maintain and manage all company websites and hosting environments

• Perform website updates, edits, and routine maintenance

• Troubleshoot website errors, downtime, and performance issues

• Manage domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, and renewals

• Ensure websites remain operational, secure, and up to date

 

Vendor & Technology Support

• Work with third-party vendors only when advanced technical support is required

• Assist in evaluating and implementing new technology tools

• Support integrations between internal systems where applicable

 

Operational Technology Support

• Support internal business software such as estimating tools, CRMs, and operational platforms

• Assist management with technology improvements and process organization

• Help prepare systems for future ERP implementations

 

Qualifications

Required

• 3–5+ years of experience in IT systems administration or technical support

• Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting

• Experience managing user accounts and permissions

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting websites

• Ability to support multiple locations or departments

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

 

Preferred

• Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS platforms

• Basic coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar) is helpful

• Some knowledge or experience with AI tools, automation, or workflow optimization is a plus

• Exposure to CRM or ERP systems

• Experience supporting construction or trades companies
